Cedric A. Brown of Mineola, formerly of South Ozone Park, passed away on July 7, 2026. A proud veteran of the Korean War, Cedric was born on September 10, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York.

He later met the love of his life, Jacqueline Surlis, and together they shared a loving marriage of 50 years. Over the course of more than 60 years, Cedric built and enjoyed a successful legal and tax practice. He loved traveling the world and was deeply devoted to his family, who brought him his greatest joy.

Cedric is survived by his loving children, Carrie Ann Fichtel (Robert), Mark Brown (Karen), and Gwenn Tammaro and Andrew Tammaro; his cherished grandchildren, Caitlin (Adam), Alanna (Gavin), Ryan, Geina, Aidan, and Morgan; and his beloved great-grandson, Austin.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline; his brother, Kenneth; his mother; Edythe; and his father, Nat.

Funeral arrangements entrusted into the care of Kleinberg Funeral Services, located at Jerusalem Memorial Chapels, 3026 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, NY 11756. Visiting hours on Thursday, July 9th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will commence at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY 11735.

Shiva will be held at the home of Gwenn Tammaro, 41 Clearland Ave., Carle Place, NY 11514 on Friday, July 10th from 12 noon until 9:00 pm.
